Jasper (standing in the aisle), a teacher by trade, is a Super Team leader for HLA. Not only does he and his team show the Jesus Film, pray with new believers, and equip churches with audio Bibles each month, but they also lead training conferences for pastors, evangelists, and church leaders over 30 times per year.
Most church leaders in rural East Africa do not have access to higher education, so the pastor training conferences provided by HLA are massively impactful. At the training, church leaders gain insight on how to manage common difficulties in church leadership such as counseling broken families, church finances, delegation, and more. After four multi-day sessions over the course of roughly two years, the leaders graduate and are commissioned back to their churches. On average, a village church with a leader who goes through the training conferences grows by over 110%.
